Favorite Foundations

In this post I'll be discussing my favorite foundations I'm currently using and loving, as well as foundations I'm dying to try.

First off I just want to start off by saying, I'm absolutely in love with all four of these foundations for different reasons and i cannot choose one favorite, they're all amazing in my opinion!

Laura Mercier silk creme foundation $55.
I mainly stick to full coverage foundations and this is one of the best full coverage foundations I've ever tried. It's very full coverage and requires using very little product, which really makes your money last. I've had this foundation for over a year and It's still quite full. Mind you I don't wear foundation very often, I'd say a few times a month. The finish is beautiful and has nice glow to it.
Definitely worth the $55. It can be purchased at Sephora!

Makeup forever HD foundation $49. This is the only foundation I've repurchased so far and will continue to do so whenever I run out. I absolutely love it. All the hype about this foundation is completely accurate. I've been using this foundation for a few years and it's amazing! The coverage and the finish is perfection.

Giorgio Armani Luminious silk foundation. This was a hard purchase for me lol It's very hard to justify spending over $70 for a foundation but I've read about it in magazines as beauty editors top picks and all over YouTube constantly and I couldn't resist any longer. The price is the only downside to this product. It really does make your skin look luminous. If I'm ever wearing makeup during the day, this is my go to choice because it's silly, lightweight foundation.

Mac studio fix fluid foundation $32. The least expensive of the 4 and an absolute staple in my makeup collection. It's a matte finish with medium, buildable cobdrage. This is my go to foundation for a night out, a photoshoot or anytime I have a spray tan. Mainly because it's the darkest foundation I own lol and it works so well for any occasion. I do prefer to wear medium/full coverage foundations during the evening and light to medium during the day.

Those are my top 4 foundations that will always remain in my collection!

The foundations below are ones I intend on purchasing soon or in the future. My favorite makeup products to try and buy are foundations and highlighters. I obsess over both lol

I've been wanting to purchase this foundation for years! I have absolutely no idea why I haven't yet. I've sampled it and love it so I have no reason not to lol

I don't really know too much about the Kat Von D brand but this foundation became popular very quickly because of the full coverage it provides. I want to buy it for that reason alone! I went to purchase it last Christmas but it was completely sold out and I forgot about it until I was browsing sephora today.

Bobbi Brown skin foundation $55. I've heard amazing reviews on YouTube on this foundation.

Ysl touché éclat foundation $66. This is another foundation I'm skeptical on purchasing because of the price. I did sample it and liked it but I wasn't in love with it. I'm contemplating this purchase. If anyone has bought it and loves it, please leave me a comment and let me know!

Dior nude foundation $54. Again, I've heard amazing reviews on this foundation and I'm dying to try it! I may have to pick up a sample this week.

I'll be doing a post this week on winter fashion but if you enjoy reading makeup posts, let me know and I'll do more reviews on my favorite products :)

Current Skincare Products

Previously, I was using a Biore scrub, neutrogena moisturizer and Kirkland face wipes. They were working well for a while but with my skin constantly changing, my products do as well.

Recently I purchased Philosophy's purity facial cleanser and hope in a jar moisturizer.  I purchased the smallest sizes just to try out, but so far I love both products and will be purchasing the larger sizes once I run out. My skin looks and feels great from it and I'm very happy with it.

Philosophy can be purchased at Sephora or The Bay!!

Tomorrow's post will be on my favorite makeup products I'm loving right now :)

VFW - Heiress Swimwear 2014 Collection

I'm so proud to showcase my 2014 collection at Vancouver Fashion Week! This is my third year showing at VFW and I'm so grateful to be blessed with the opportunity. Designers come from all over the world to show their designs at this show and it's Vancouver's biggest fashion event of the year. Each year my collection changes, improving as we go but this year exceeded expectations again. We've taken on a new manufacturer who specializes in expensive swimwear and it really shows in the quality. Once you've worn or purchased a bikini from this collection, I'm positive you'll never want to wear another bikini again. Yes I am that confident with this collection lol
These first two styles are our very first full coverage, no scrunch bottoms!!! We are SO happy to finally have added this diversity to our line! If these two styles are a best seller, we'll be adding many more styles like this as well. We're always trying to reinvent and add something entirely different to our brand, expanding and growing each year. We hope you love it!
Balconette bra tops are everything this season! They're so comfortable and very flattering on any size. These bottoms as well are our other full coverage, no scrunch bottoms :)

Our sexy, glamorous one piece! cream with black mesh see through sides.
This is one of my personal faves. Very comfy, black halter top and underwear like bottoms with pearl/gold hardware
This is my absolute favorite print! Very Diane Von Furstenberg! As soon as I saw this fabric, I had to have it! I've been eyeing a DVF print dress for a year that looks exactly like this!
Light teal/pale blue with gold and matching colored ribbon hardware. Molded, padded cups.

Classic black strappy bikini! Every year I make sure to add a sexy black. Strappy bikini. This year we've added a twist and added black rings and braided straps on the top!
Our girly, ruffle, string bikini!
This coral is my favorite color I've ever chosen for swimwear. I absolutely adore coral and have been dying to use it every year but I haven't found the perfect coral yet, until this season!
My inspiration on this suit was lingerie. Lime green piping really stands out. This was my most talked about suit at VFW
Our bridal collection <3 perfect for every bride to be and stagettes! All over lace and additional lace edges on bottoms. Very comfy and stretchy with tied sides. Such a hit at our show!
Halter version.
Our silk chiffon, beaded kaftans. We showed kaftans last year at VFW but we weren't satisfied with them so we sourced out a different manufacturer who specialized in beading by hand. We are very excited to release these! It will come in black, white and teal
Our black Silk chiffon with hand beaded detail.
Bra version of this print
And me, the designer with my beautiful model Jessica. Our show ran behind and she didn't get to start the show (which she was supposed to) and end in my favorite bikini but there wasn't enough time. This sparkly purple with gold and purple ribbon hard ware is to die for!!
Here is what I wore. This limited edition Herve Leger dress with Christian Louboutin décolletés.

Fall/Winter Fashion Inspo

My holy grail magazines! These two in particular are great to see the latest designer trends for the upcoming season!

Fall is almost upon us, finally!! It's my absolute FAVORITE time of year, based on the clothing alone! Jackets, scarves, boots and gloves. Heaven!

In this post I've included staple pieces for fall/winter, trends I'm loving and of course, celebs rocking these trends as well. What better way to gain a little fashion inspo/knowledge than from our favorite fashionistas!

A few staples for this fall are:

Leather pants and leggings. An absolute must for me! They're great because they're so versatile. You can dress them up with a gorgeous jacket, fur and heeled boots or dress them down with a cute baggy sweater, scarf and flat boots!

Thigh high boots: My absolute fave Item to wear! They glam up any outfit!

Report signature thigh high boots. Kim kardashian made these boots famous and I had to have them after seeing her in them!

Tom Ford. Seriously lusting
Daf booty. A must on my lust list

Motorcycle boots: they're super trendy and casual.
These Gucci boots are amazing! And surprisingly comfy. I wear them all the time with jeans or leggings.

Perfection! This sweater with the leather leggings and motorcycle boots is so chic and trendy.

Cozy, off the shoulder sweaters. The perfect casual look.
I just bought an identical black sweater like this from Zara for $15! Ill probably wear it everyday lol
Love this look with leggings and comfy boots.

Fabulous jackets, capes and scarves

These marants and camo jeans are another staple for me!

Capes/ponchos are chic and effortless
Burberry trench.
Alexander McQueen scarves
All black.
Need this scarf in my life
Helmut Lang.
Love this but with leggings underneath lol

Fur. Fur is the ultimate fashionista piece for winter. It can instantly glamorize any outfit.
H & M fall 2013.

These next two looks are more appropriate for the end of summer/beginning of fall that I love.

And just a few random looks that I love. All very similar to everything mentioned above, if not the exact same lol can't stray too far from what I love <3

Dark colored leather pants are divine
Isabel Marant 2013
When the weather permits to wear these fab items, ill post photos of myself wearing my variations of these looks!

Hope you enjoyed this post :)
