Current Favourite Beauty Products

Here are this months favourite beauty products I've been loving. Some are old favourites, some are new which I've been reaching for the most lately.

Givenchy Dahlia Divine perfume. This is a new favourite and smells absolutely heavenly. I've been wearing it daily and get a lot of compliments on it.

Mac Worldly Wealth Blush. This is pretty much the only blush I've been using for over two years lol I try to branch out and try other colours but this always wins. It's bronzy and glowy and always gives a sun kissed look. I've yet to find a blush I love more than this. If you have any recommendations, please share!

Lilly Lashes in Mykonos. Full, dramatic and fluffy!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow. This glow kit is worth the money considering you get 4 colours for $60 which works out to $15 a highlight. Most high end highlighters are around $40-$60 so this in my opinion is definitely worth the price and the colours are beautiful and very glowy. There's a pink toned palette as well but I like this one because it's more bronzy.

Maybelline gel liner. I've been using this for years and again, haven't found one I like more so I will continue to use this! This is a great liner to smoke out as well and you can use it as a base for a dark smokey eye.

Mac fix plus spray. I use this every time I apply makeup. It sets your makeup and it's great for toning face makeup down if you've caked it on a bit like I tend to do at times lol It's like an airbrush in a bottle after applying your makeup!

Tom Ford lipstick in Nude Vanille. A great light nude lipstick. There are dupes for this as it is quite expensive but sometimes it's nice to indulge! A great dupe for this lipstick is Mac Myth. I like to apply a light nude colour like this over a darker lipstick to lighten it up and look more nude.

Anastasia Beverly Hills gloss in Butterscotch. I've been wearing this gloss almost every time I apply makeup. It's the perfect glossy nude that lasts for hours.

Loreal Voluminous carbon black mascara. I've been using this since high school and always does the trick! I think this mascara beats any high end mascara and for under $10, you can't go wrong!

Let me know if you like these posts and I will do them monthly.

I'm Officially A Brunette Again!

I've always had an obsession with Balyage hair. For years it's all i wanted and I finally had it perfect! for a few years now it's been Balyaged. Before that I had dark brown hair and before that, platinum blonde lol if you'd like to see some photos,  let me know and i'll add some!

I wanted a change. I couldn't make up my mind to go more blonde or to dye it all dark. I sat in the chair at the salon for half an hour debating with my hair dresser and decided the most drastic change would be dark, so dark it is :)

Dark brown! What do you think??

My hair right before I dyed it

The quality of the photo isn't the greatest but I loved it the most like this. I went a little too blonde after and didn't love it as much on me. I think I may do this hair colour again in the future but for now, I'm loving being a brunette again :)

My Foundation Collection/Favourites

My favourite topic! Foundations. Well, makeup in general really. Foundations and highlighters are by far my favourite product to purchase. There's something about that beautiful finish it leaves the skin looking, especially with glowing cheek bones.

Here are all my favourites or most used foundations of my collection. I have others as well but I don't use them as often, Bobbi Brown, Kat Von D etc

As you can see, some of the shades are a bit different. I spray tan often so most shades are quite tanned and the rest are fair.

My go to foundation has always been Giorgio Armani Luminous silk. It's a light to medium coverage that can be built up to full if desired. It has a beautiful finish thats light enough to be worn in the day. I'm not fan of full coverage foundations for day time however, I do love full coverage for night time.

Nars sheer glow is tied with Giorgio Armani. The title says sheer but I would say it's more of a full coverage with a dewy finish. It's less expensive than GA as well. I believe GI as around $75 CAD and Nars sheer glow is around $50 CAD.

Estee Lauder and Marc Jacobs Remarcable foundations are two new favourites. Both full coverage. If you're looking for a full coverage foundation, I would recommend either of these two. Estee Lauder is over $20 cheaper and they both have a similar finish.

Maybelline fit me matte poreless foundation. This is my favourite drug store foundation to date. It's a natural, medium coverage that works best for oily skin.

Guerlain bb cream. I used this all summer last year! If you like bb creams, this is a must try. The finish is beautiful and I'm obsessed with the smell.

Chanel vitalumiere. This is my lightest coverage foundation of the collection. I like to wear this in the summer or when I'm wearing just this and mascara.

Too faced born this way foundation. This was a favourite I couldn't put down for months! It's full coverage as well.

Dior skin star, Nars audacious & Laura Mercier foundations are all nice as well but I find I don't reach for them as much as the others mentioned above.

I mix Josie Maran argan illuminizer in with my foundations when I'm looking for a more glowy look. I also apply this under my powder highlight for a more intense look.

Becca backlight primer. This primer is hands down my favourite primer. It's meant to be worn under your foundation as a primer and gives off a radiant glow which looks beautiful with any foundation. I wear this under my foundation every time!

Maybelline Dream velvet foundation and Loreal true match lumi cushion foundation. These are both drug store foundations, I believe the Loreal lumi was on sale for $13 and Maybelline dream velvet was around $12. I haven't tried either of these yet so I cannot provide a review but I have heard great reviews on both so I will try both out and add that to my blog whether they are worth it (in my opinion of course) or not.

*UPDATE* Loreal Lumi Cushion is heaven!! It's very natural, great for an every day foundation. I'm in love! Maybelline dream velvet didn't wear as nicely throughout the day as the lumi did. I highly recommend Loreal true match lumi!

I hope you enjoyed this post! if there is anything else you would like me to blog about, please leave me a comment and let me know!

Casual/Athletic Outfits

Casual wear is everyday life for me. I live in sweat pants, leggings, sports bras and runners. I work from home so unless I have a meeting or something that requires anything other than sweats, It's sweats all day long.

I've recently fallen in love with this comfy set from Fashion Nova, visit their website HERE I ordered an XS set and absolutely love it! It's casual but it looks great dressed up with some cute runners and a full face of makeup (if you're into makeup of course) but also looks great fresh faced as well to run errands in and still look cute!

I'm wearing the Fashion Nova set with black Yeezy's and a black leather hat also from Fashion Nova

Both beautiful ladies in the same fashion nova sets

I ordered both long sleeve sets in black and grey and the set above with the tank to and pants (wanderlust leggings and tops) and (kickback pants and tank)

Here a few other looks I've worn recently, a few pairs of my favourite runners and cute casual inspo!

Nike Roshe, New Balance, Nike Thea, Reebok, Nike Air Max, Nike Thea

Who doesn't love these runners?! I just got the pirate black pair, now I feel I must have the nude pair

Love New Balance <3

I hope you enjoyed this post! I'll be blogging tomorrow about my favourite foundations and what I love about them :)

Eyebrow Tattoo/Microblading

Finally! I have brows!!

The sad thing is, I was blessed with thick, bushy brows however, I did not listen to my mom in high school when she warned me not to over pluck or they'll never grow back. You win mom. I was going for that pencil thin, Pamela Anderson brows (Thanks a lot Pam). Well they have been pencil thin ever since and I've hated filling them in ever since. I'm not sure if it's because they're different shaped and uneven, but they are an absolute bitch to fill in and look somewhat "natural" hence the reason all my selfies and makeup pictures are of the left side of my face aka my good eyebrow.

I've been contemplating having this done for years but was skeptical because of some horror stories and unnatural brows I've seen when researching about it in the past. That is until I discovered Studio Sashiko! Their instagram page is proof that this procedure looks natural and worth evert penny ($550) which as per their website states it should last a few years with touch ups. Their instagram page is @studiosashiko and if you'd like more information, check out their website HERE

I had the pleasure of having my brows done by Audrey Glass, @audreylglass on instagram. I am extremely happy with the results!

I don't have many photos showing my brows straight on but here are a few before pictures I found

(I was getting a massage on a bunk bed by my boyfriends nephew in this photo lol)

Screen shot from my snapchat video. follow me @nicolecxoxoxo  :)

And the new brows!

The microblading technique actually replicates real hair strokes! It's amazing!

I go back in a month for touch ups/changes etc so I'm excited to see how they heal and how they will look! So far I'm thrilled :)

If you have any questions, leave me a comment and I'll answer any questions you have!

Vacation Outfits/Online Boutiques

I recently travelled to the Bahamas last month which is a destination I've always wanted to go to and it was a surprise birthday present, which made it that much more exciting! It was beyond beautiful. The water, the beaches, the food, everything was excellent!

Because the trip was a surprise,  I didn't have much time to prepare and plan outfits like I usually do.
I do the majority of my shopping online but I didn't have much time to allow for shipping, alterations, etc so I found a few websites that exceeded my expectations.

White Fox Boutique is now my go to for online shopping, especially for vacation clothing. It was hard even choosing items because of how many cute things they offer on their site. I also discovered a new obsession (new to me) Quay sunglasses, which I ordered from White Fox as well but you can also buy Quay sunglasses directly from their website Quay Australia both are Australian brands and are shipped from Australia. Both are reasonably priced, especially for cute sunglasses that are under $60! These outfits are great for vacations or for summer.

Here are a few items I ordered from White Fox for my vacay and a few that I loved that weren't in stock at the time or I would have ordered as well

This crop top is super cute with jean shorts or a skirt. Wearing Quay Vivienne sunglasses as well

Kylie Jenner is a fan of Quay and wears them all the time too! Here Kylie is wearing the Vivenne glasses as well

This romper was one of my favourite pieces from the site

Quay Muse glasses in pink with Heiress Swimwear Goddess bikini ($80)

Quay muse sunglasses with Heiress Olivia Joy bikini ($50)

Quay Vivenne glasses with Heiress Hollywood bikini ($60)

Heiress Divine & Goddess bikinis ($80) with Quay muse sunglasses
