Eyebrow Tattoo/Microblading

Finally! I have brows!!

The sad thing is, I was blessed with thick, bushy brows however, I did not listen to my mom in high school when she warned me not to over pluck or they'll never grow back. You win mom. I was going for that pencil thin, Pamela Anderson brows (Thanks a lot Pam). Well they have been pencil thin ever since and I've hated filling them in ever since. I'm not sure if it's because they're different shaped and uneven, but they are an absolute bitch to fill in and look somewhat "natural" hence the reason all my selfies and makeup pictures are of the left side of my face aka my good eyebrow.

I've been contemplating having this done for years but was skeptical because of some horror stories and unnatural brows I've seen when researching about it in the past. That is until I discovered Studio Sashiko! Their instagram page is proof that this procedure looks natural and worth evert penny ($550) which as per their website states it should last a few years with touch ups. Their instagram page is @studiosashiko and if you'd like more information, check out their website HERE

I had the pleasure of having my brows done by Audrey Glass, @audreylglass on instagram. I am extremely happy with the results!

I don't have many photos showing my brows straight on but here are a few before pictures I found

(I was getting a massage on a bunk bed by my boyfriends nephew in this photo lol)

And the new brows!

The microblading technique actually replicates real hair strokes! It's amazing!

I go back in a month for touch ups/changes etc so I'm excited to see how they heal and how they will look! So far I'm thrilled :)

Vacation Outfits/Online Boutiques

I recently travelled to the Bahamas last month which is a destination I've always wanted to go to and it was a surprise birthday present, which made it that much more exciting! It was beyond beautiful. The water, the beaches, the food, everything was excellent!

Because the trip was a surprise,  I didn't have much time to prepare and plan outfits like I usually do.
I do the majority of my shopping online but I didn't have much time to allow for shipping, alterations, etc so I found a few websites that exceeded my expectations.

White Fox Boutique is now my go to for online shopping, especially for vacation clothing. It was hard even choosing items because of how many cute things they offer on their site. I also discovered a new obsession (new to me) Quay sunglasses, which I ordered from White Fox as well but you can also buy Quay sunglasses directly from their website Quay Australia both are Australian brands and are shipped from Australia. Both are reasonably priced, especially for cute sunglasses that are under $60! These outfits are great for vacations or for summer.

Here are a few items I ordered from White Fox for my vacay and a few that I loved that weren't in stock at the time or I would have ordered as well

This crop top is super cute with jean shorts or a skirt. Wearing Quay Vivienne sunglasses as well

Kylie Jenner is a fan of Quay and wears them all the time too! Here Kylie is wearing the Vivenne glasses as well

This romper was one of my favourite pieces from the site

Quay Muse glasses in pink with Heiress Swimwear Goddess bikini ($80)

Quay muse sunglasses with Heiress Olivia Joy bikini ($50)

Quay Vivenne glasses with Heiress Hollywood bikini ($60)

Heiress Divine & Goddess bikinis ($80) with Quay muse sunglasses

Makeup Products Worth Buying

I'm a bit of a product junkie, I must confess. Any time a new product comes out or is discussed in the youtube world, I must try them for myself! For those of you who don't know, I love watching youtube tutorials/hauls/first impressions etc. I've taught myself to do makeup just by watching these videos and intend on making them myself in the near future as well :)

Here are a few new favourites that I will definitely be repurchasing in the future.

Urban Decay naked skin concealer. The consistency is amazing! I haven't tried anything quite like it before. It's replaced my beloved Nars radiant creamy concealer.

Becca under eye brightening corrector. This lovely product cancels out dark circles and brightens at the same damn time. You place this under your concealer, then conceal and set with powder (I like to set my under eyes with Laura Mercier loose powder in the photo below)

Estes Lauder double wear foundation. Foundations are one of the makeup products I purchase the most so I would like to think I'm somewhat of an expert in this particular field lol. This foundation is full coverage, has an absolutely beautiful finish, wears all day and is more reasonably priced than most high end foundations so that's always a plus! I believe it retails for $45 Canadian.

Laura Mercier loose setting powder. This powder is perfect to set concealer with. it doesn't crease or look cakey. You can also set your entire face with it as well.

Nivea after shave balm. Believe it or not this works as a primer (a primer is used under your foundation) and it's by far the best I've ever used and I've tried quite a few high end primers. I came across this strange product on youtube from a youtube beauty blogger named Nikki Tutorials who discovered this when she used her boyfriends aftershave when she was out of moisturizer. It goes on like a lotion but gets a little bit tacky so the foundation sits on top perfectly! Try it out, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Huda beauty lashes in Scarlett are so beautiful! They have been my go to these past few months and I only purchased one set so you can really get your money's worth reusing these lashes.

NYX colour correcting concealer palette. This palette is great because each colour serves its own purpose and it's a drug store product which means it's inexpensive! I believe I paid $12 for it. My main focus is covering the dark circles under my eyes and peach/pink tones counteract the dark circles so I always use this under my concealer. Green conceals redness so I use this around my nose and over and blemishes. The peach and green tones are the colours I use the most.

I will be posting weekly again and doing mini makeup tutorials on my snapchat to start so follow me :) Nicolecxoxoxo

If theres anything specific you would like to see on my blog, please let me know! I'm excited to get back to blogging!
